Harvard (Ill.) Police Pension Fund is searching for a manager to run $5 million in core fixed income, confirmed Dan Kazy-Garey, police chief and president of the pension board.
The $8 million pension fund currently manages its fixed-income portfolio internally, but it is looking for a firm to deliver better investment returns, Mr. Kazy-Garey said.
The bond portfolio invests in government securities, corporate bonds and certificates of deposit.
The RFP is available on the city's website. Proposals are due at 3 p.m. CST Dec. 1. Trustees hope to make a hiring decision by the end of the year, Mr. Kazy-Garey said.
