Ben Hunt was named chief risk officer at money manager Salient Partners, confirmed a company spokeswoman.
Mr. Hunt replaces Stewart Luedke, who will now be senior director of fund accounting.
Mr. Hunt was previously a portfolio manager at wealth management firm Tiedemann Investment Group. He is also the author of a weekly newsletter for money managers called Epsilon Theory, which examines the capital markets “through the lenses of game theory and history,” according to a news release from Salient.
