Dania Beach (Fla.) Police and Fire Retirement System is searching for an active domestic large-cap growth equity manager and active international core equity manager, confirmed Steven Roth, director of manager research at Dahab Associates, the $26 million pension fund's investment consultant.
The domestic large-cap growth manager will run $4 million to $5 million, according to the RFP. Funding will come from reducing current manager Herndon Capital Management's $11 million all-cap domestic equity portfolio.
The active international manager will run $2 million, according to that RFP. Baring Asset Management, the current manager, is invited to rebid.
Proposals for the large-cap growth equity portfolio are due at 5 p.m. EDT July 17. The RFP is available on Dahab's website.
Proposals for the international core equity portfolio are due at 5 p.m. EDT July 22. That RFP also is available on Dahab's website.
A timetable for a decision on both searches has yet to be determined. A phone call to Cathy David, retirement system administrator, was not returned by press time.
