Alaska Permanent Fund Corp., Juneau, is searching for managers to run emerging markets equity and international equity strategies, confirmed spokeswoman Laura Achee.
The searches are for a range of styles to fill in gaps in the portfolio, Ms. Achee said in an e-mail. Up to five managers could be hired for each search. The allocation sizes have not been determined. Funding is coming from rebalancing within the equity portfolio. No managers will be terminated.
Callan Associates is conducting the shortlist search. Interested managers may contact Callan, Ms. Achee said.
There is no set timetable for when managers will be hired.
Separately, the board for the $44.7 billion sovereign wealth fund approved adding public infrastructure as an allowable investment within the asset class. The board has made $1.7 billion in commitments to infrastructure funds.
The board also directed Callan to review the international real estate capabilities of the sovereign wealth fund's current real estate managers.
