Labadie Capital Management, Detroit, has contracted with The Marshall Plan, Boston, to assist it in managing separate accounts in socially responsible equities, said Barbara B. Labadie, chairman.
Labadie, a women-owned firm, plans to market the socially responsible portfolio to pension funds, endowments and other institutions as well as to wealthy individuals, she said.
Labadie will screen stocks on the basis of environmental record, corporate governance, employee benefits and relations and community involvement; Marshall Plan will rank the screened stock on investment criteria. Labadie will retain discretion and do the trading for the portfolios.
