DENVER - Janus Funds has gone live with an Internet site, joining competing direct marketers such as Fidelity Investments.
The site allows individuals access to fund and portfolio manager information, performance data, information on dollar-cost averaging as well as the ability to order their prospectus and request additional literature directly from Janus through e-mail.
In the future, Janus plans to place a prospectus and new account applications online for Internet users.
Unlike other mutual fund firms, Janus does not plan to immediately extend online services for 401(k) participants, said Chrissy Snyder, a Janus spokeswoman.
