SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Wilshire Associates' Mentor is a new interactive investment marketing support and client management system that typically is loaded on a laptop computer.
Mentor helps investment professionals organize sales data, evaluate the competition, manage existing relationships, research industry consultants and communicate more effectively with peers and clients.
Mentor is typically loaded on IBM ThinkPads provided by Wilshire. But Wilshire also will load the software on other personal computers.
Besides Mentor, Wilshire also includes the personal information manager Act for Windows. The Act program is pre-loaded with the Nelson's Directory of Investment Managers, Plan Sponsors and Consultants.
The program also includes Wilshire analytical programs, including the Wilshire Investment Universe, including style analysis, performance comparison, comparative characteristics, performance attribution, asset mix and 375 equity, fixed-income and international market indexes.

NEW YORK - Telekurs AG has signed an agreement to sell Telekurs (North America) Inc., Stamford, Conn., and the majority of its assets to a management group led by Zilkha & Co.
A new company will be formed called Telesphere Corp.
Kenneth Marlin, president of Telekurs (North America) will be president of the new company.
Zilkha & Co. is a merchant banking and private investment company located in New York.
