Trustees of the Louisiana State Employees' Retirement System, Baton Rouge, short-listed five managers for a $150 million fund-of-funds placement later this year: Abbott Capital; Brinson Partners; Chancellor Capital Management; John Hancock Venture Partners; and Pacific Corporate Advisors. Three finalists will be interviewed at the November meeting, with final selection expected by year end, according to James Wood, executive director of the $4 billion system.
