Scott B. Schermerhorn was named vice president and senior portfolio manager of domestic equities at Federated Investors. He formerly was a member of the growth and income team at J & W Seligman. At Federated, he replaces Fred Plautz, who left in late 1995 to join the Aid Association for Lutherans. Other Seligman staffers will assume Mr. Schermerhorn's responsibilities.
