Janus Capital plans to introduce commingled funds by July for institutions with $1 million to $10 million to invest. It also plans to increase its minimum separate account size to $10 million from $5 million, said Mark Whiston, chief marketing officer. The funds will mirror the firm's separate account products, such as small-, mid- and large-cap growth and international and global equity portfolios.
In addition, the firm plans to launch its first equity income fund in mid-June. The fund will be managed by Blaine Rollins, the same portfolio manager who runs the Janus balanced fund.
