The $2.3 billion San Bernardino County (Calif.) Employees' Association is asking Boston International Advisors to replace its asset-based fee with a performance fee. Boston International manages about $185 million for the pension fund in international equities. Terms of the fee arrangement are expected to be approved by both sides in a month or so. The proposed change was prompted by concerns about investment performance, a spokesman for the fund said.
