SunGard Futures Systems introduced an Internet service that allows any user to calculate real-time position margin requirements for any exchanged-traded product or portfolio in the world.
Called Octagon Internet Margining, the service will allow managers to do their own calculations rather than depend on waiting for a margin call from a broker or an exchange. The system will enable managers to have more control in managing their positions.
