The $72 million Holyoke (Mass.) Retirement System picked Dreyfus Trust Co., The Crabbe Huson Group, Pioneer Group Inc. and Rothschild Asset Management as finalists in its search for a small-cap equities manager, said Daniel R. Owens, executive director. Final presentations will be made May 17, he said.
The system also picked three finalists - Fidelity Management Trust Co., MetLife Realty Group and Lowe Enterprises Investment Management - in its search for a real estate manager. Final presentations will be made May 20.
The system aims to have $6 million with each manager, but probably will allocate $3 million apiece initially. The money will come from reducing the allocation to Freedom Capital, which now manages most of the system's assets in a balanced fund. Segal Advisors is assisting.
