Jeff Hassler has resigned as state investment officer, real estate, for the $7.8 billion Alaska Retirement System, Juneau, confirmed CIO Robert D. Storer. The position will not be filled immediately; first, the fund has to approve an asset allocation plan and see where real estate falls. Telephone calls to Mr. Hassler were not returned, but officials at the fund said he resigned to pursue other interests.
