Steve Cochrane will become investment director at the $2.3 billion North Dakota State Investment Board, Bismarck, Jan. 1. He replaces Karen Kellerman, who joined Mercer Consulting last spring.
Previously Mr. Cochrane was president and CIO at Gryphon Capital Management, which he helped found five years ago. He plans to maintain an equity interest in Gryphon; other staff will assume his responsibilities at the firm.
