Arnold C. Schneider, senior vice president of Wellington Management Co., is leaving at the end of the year. He served as portfolio manager on a variety of accounts.
Mr. Schneider, who reportedly is planning to start his own firm, was out of his office until Monday, and not available for comment. A Wellington spokeswoman confirmed his planned departure, but would not provide any other information
