The $19.6 billion Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association, Pasadena, Calif., retained incumbent Bankers Trust as its equity and fixed-income index fund manager following an RFI-style search. The other finalist was BZW Barclays Global Investors.
The potential allocation will be $3 billion to $4 billion. Bankers will manage various types of index funds. Frank Russell assisted.
