The $7.1 billion Los Angeles Fire & Police Pension System approved the concept of doing an RFP to search for consulting firms to audit a number of fund services. The audit will include reviews of actuarial assumptions and calculations, investment practices and procedures, real estate management practices and administrative and legal services. The RFP should be issued within the next four weeks. Because of the range of the audit, more than one consultant could be hired.
