The Association for Investment Management and Research named 20 corporations to receive its awards for excellence in corporate reporting for 1994-95. Seven firms received letters of commendation for their year-over-year improvement in investor communications.
The 20 awards went to: Delta Air Lines Inc.; Royal Bank of Canada; PPG Industries; Browning-Ferris Industries Inc.; Honeywell; PepsiCo Inc.; Schering-Plough Corp.; NAC Re Corp.; Cumming Engine Co.; Knight-Ridder Inc.; MCN Corp.; The Williams Cos.; Boise Cascade Corp.; Phillips Petroleum Co.; Ashland Oil; Mobil Corp.; Echo Bay Mines Ltd.; Norfolk Southern Corp.; Federated Department Stores; and Informix Corp.
The winners of letters of commendation were: Philip Morris Cos. Inc.; Gannett Co.; Questar Corp.; Atlantic Richfield; British Petroleum; Hecla Mining Co.; and Sears, Roebuck & Co.
