Cement Masons Locals 886 and 404 pension plan is close to finishing a consultant search.
The search is to replace Newport Evaluation Services. Newport resigned from the Toledo, Ohio-based pension fund, which has $50 million in assets. Trustees are looking at candidates that were reviewed during an initial consultant search done about a year and a half ago. A source familiar with the fund would not release the names of finalists.
Washington State Investment Board, Olympia, committed to two alternative investment funds.
The $40 billion fund allocated $150 million to Joseph Littlejohn & Levy Fund II, a distressed equities fund; and $100 million to the Sprout Capital Fund VIII, a venture capital fund. Brinson Partners assisted.
WHO'S NEWS
Joseph J. Seymour was named retirement plan sales manager, a newly created position at AIM Distributors. He also was named first vice president and will be responsible for sales of 401(k) plan services.
Mr. Seymour most recently was senior vice president, director of retirement planning services, for the Quest for Value Distributors division of Oppenheimer Capital.
Imre von Komarnicki has been named to a new position of director of client management in the San Francisco office of Diversified Investment Advisors.
Mr. von Komarnicki had been an account representative at Great-West Life, where his responsibilities have been divided among new hires Jeanette Campbell and Jan Hubbard, as well as Alice Ramirez, the service manager.
