Eric W. Sherman was named executive director for the Health Services Retirement Plan, New York. He will oversee the plan's $345 million in assets. He had been senior benefits administrator for Marsh & McLennan's plan, where he has not yet been replaced. He replaces Elenita Bader, who was named director of benefits for the University of Pennsylvania's pension plan.
Robert C. Peck Jr. was named executive vice president and CIO-fixed income at Zurich Kemper. He will oversee $30 billion in mutual fund bond assets and will direct the mutual fund fixed-income department. He replaced J. Patrick Beimford, who will return to his role as co-portfolio manager of several bond funds and now will manage fixed-income within certain Kemper equity funds.
Mr. Peck had been CIO of fixed income and an executive vice president at Van Kampen American Capital. Van Kampen American did not return calls regarding a replacement.
David Hodes joined Morgan Stanley as a principal in real estate investment banking, a new position. He will provide pension funds with real estate investment banking services. He formerly was a managing director with Yarmouth Group, which he left in 1996. Mr. Hodes had a short tenure as a principal with the Asia Multi-Strategies Fund, an emerging markets investment partnership
