Don Torrey was named executive vice president of alternative investments at GE Investments to replace John H. Myers, who was named president of the General Electric money management subsidiary.
Mr. Torrey, former CFO of GE Investments, will head the unit's private equity and real estate investments. Bob McDougal, who now heads the taxable fixed-income area of the firm, will assume Mr. Myers' previous responsibilities for tax-exempt fixed-income. Mr. Torrey has not been replaced as CFO yet
