Allen J. Proctor was named executive director of the $6.5 billion Police and Firemen's Disability and Pension Fund of Ohio. He replaces Henry Helling, who resigned. He had been vice president for finance at Harvard University, where he was replaced internally by Elizabeth Huidekoper.
Dan Roberts, head of fixed income, Michael Kimble, managing director, and vice presidents Louis Cohen, Taylor Wagenseil and Janet Murphy left UBS Asset Management (New York). The fixed-income professionals are expected to open a new money management firm affiliated with futures broker REFCO. REFCO officials did not return calls.
The departing team's duties will be assumed by UBS staff, and the firm plans to recruit more people. Ranjani Nagaswami was named the new head of fixed income; Lawrence Kemp was named deputy head of fixed income.
M. David Testa was named chief investment officer of all investment management activities at T. Rowe Price Associates, a new position. Mr. Testa had been director of the firm's equity division; he will be replaced in that position by Jim Kennedy, who is head of T. Rowe Price's equity research team.
L. Charles ``Duke'' Meythaler and Leonard J. Oremland were named to newly created positions at Aeltus Investment .
Mr. Meythaler was named managing director-institutional marketing and sales. He was president of New England Investment Associates; his replacement is being sought.
Mr. Oremland, vice president-consultant relations, had been director-marketing and client service for Cowen Asset Management. The firm is unsure whether he will be replaced
