Bruce Speca was promoted to president and CEO of New England Funds, effective immediately. Mr. Speca has been serving as managing director and executive vice president of the firm's fund group. He replaces Henry L.P. Schmelzer, who is leaving after 26 years with the company to pursue other opportunities, according to a company representative.
Mr. Schmelzer was not available for comment at press time.
New England Funds is an affiliate of Nvest.
