Halbert Lindquist was named CIO of Blackstone Alternative Asset Management, said Carrie McCabe, president and CEO. Ms. McCabe performed both functions before Mr. Lindquist's appointment.
Mr. Lindquist formerly was a senior managing director for risk management for proprietary trading with Bear Stearns.
Kathryn J. Stokel will join Abbott Capital Management as a managing director.
In the new position, she will solicit and monitor venture capital, buyouts and special situation partnerships.
Ms. Stokel was a portfolio manager with General Motors Investment Management Corp. She has not yet been replaced at GM
