Brian W. Good and James R. Fellows, both former vice presidents and portfolio managers for the Van Kampen American Capital Prime Rate Income Trust Fund, joined Stein Roe & Farnham. Also hired from Van Kampen were Kathleen A. Zarn and Brian Murphy, both former assistant vice presidents and assistant portfolio managers.
Their new titles have not been determined, but the team initially will focus on managing $200 million in prime rate assets for Keyport Life, a sister company. A Van Kampen staffer said replacements have been selected, but declined to name them.
Stephen S. Boeschenstein and Dyan N. Goodwin, both formerly with Fidelity Investments, have been named senior consultants and project managers at Optima Group. They will provide investment product strategy and product design advice.
Mr. Boeschenstein was director of new business and product development at Fidelity. Ms. Goodwin was director of new business and product development for Fidelity Investments Institutional Services.
