Arlington Heights (Ill.) Police Pension Fund narrowed a search for its first small-cap value U.S. equity manager to two finalists and is expected to make a decision at its Jan. 28 board meeting, said Sgt. Gerald Besenhofer, president of the investment committee. Finalists are Thomas White Asset Management and Private Capital Management. Mr. Besenhofer said the hiring will help diversify the $40 million fund and the $2 million allocation will come from cash.
