Morningstar yesterday revealed its three 1998 Mutual Fund Managers of the year. William H. Miller III, who manages the Legg Mason Value and the Legg Mason Special Investment Trust, was named domestic equity manager of the year.
William H. Gross, founder of PIMCO and head of a team managing the Total Return, Low Duration and other PIMCO bond funds, was named fixed-income manager of the year. Mark Yockley was named international equity fund manager of the year for the Artisan International Fund.
