Cambridge Associates U.S. Venture Capital index showed the net return on U.S. venture capital funds for the quarter ended June 30 was 37.02%, up from 14.07% for the first quarter and well above the 7.05% Standard & Poor’s 500 second-quarter return. The net venture capital index return was 80.15% for the one-year period ended June 30, well above the 22.76% one-year S&P 500 return. Cambridge also released its second-quarter U.S. Private Equity index net return of 10.83%, which was up from 3.8% for the first quarter. The net return was 15.12% for the one-year period ended June 30.
