Alliance Capital today launched the Alliance Health Care Fund, a mutual fund investing primarily in stocks of companies engaged in health care and health sciences industries. The fund is managed by Norman M. Fidel, Alliance senior health care analyst and portfolio manager. While the new fund will invest primarily in U.S.-based companies, it may invest up to 40% of its total assets in securities of non-U.S. companies.
