WASHINGTON -- Rep. Earl Pomeroy, D-N.D., is obsessed with Debra these days.
No, Debra is not a woman -- it's the acronym for the Defined Benefit Revitalization Act, legislation the lawmaker hopes to introduce soon, which would revive flagging interest in traditional pension plans.
"It is a great way to highlight the importance of retirement security to women," said Amy Goffe, Mr. Pomeroy's spokeswoman. And when will DEBRA make her debut? Mr. Pomeroy hopes to introduce the bill by the end of August, Ms. Goffe said.
