Stanislaus County Employees’ Retirement Association, Modesto, Calif., hired MFS as an active large-cap growth domestic equity manager, a new area for the $950 million plan. The plan initially will fund the manager with $50 million from cash, increasing the portfolio by $5 million a month until it reaches $150 million, said Robert Harmon, assistant administrator.
