Tailwater Capital closed its latest fund, the $1.1 billion Tailwater Energy Fund IV that invests in midstream energy companies, according to a news release.
The total committed capital includes a co-investment for one of the fund's portfolio companies. The fund is 10% larger than the prior fund, $1 billion Tailwater Energy Fund III, including a co-investment.
Investors in Fund IV include the $126.6 billion New York State Teachers' Retirement System, Albany; $10.4 billion Sacramento County (Calif.) Employees' Retirement System; and $866 million Merced County (Calif.) Employees' Retirement Association
