Early stage and late-stage venture capital-backed valuations before they invest capital for artificial intelligence companies soared this year. During the first half of the year, the former’s median valuation grew more than 35% to $65 million, while the latter’s increased 105% to $119 million.
Venture capital-backed AI companies’ valuations soar
AI companies’ share of unicorn deals (those with at least a $1 billion valuation) grew to 42%. There were 58 AI unicorn deals in the first half of this year vs. 80 non-AI deals.
