NVIDIA, the most valuable company in the S&P 500 index with a $3.6 trillion market capitalization and over 7% weight, continued to report robust year-over-year revenue growth. While investors were disappointed with management’s guidance, in its latest fiscal quarter, NVIDIA reported revenue of $35.1 billion, a 93.6% increase from a year ago.
NVIDIA reports strong revenue growth
The shares have returned about 195% this year (through Nov. 20), easily outpacing the S&P 500’s 25.6%. Since 2014, NVIDIA’s stock has outgained the index except in 2018 and 2022. During those 2 years, NVDIA’s shares fell more than the overall market.
