North American hedge funds' confidence increases in Q3 – AIMA

Alternative Investment Management Association's quarterly Hedge Fund Confidence index among North American managers was 19.5 in the third quarter, up from the second quarter's 16.7.

The results are based on responses from AIMA's survey of hedge funds' confidence in their business prospects that it conducted during the week ended Sept. 29. Scores range from -50 to +50.

Looking at the drivers of hedge fund confidence, 88% of the North American funds noted an optimistic outlook for their funds' performance, and 65% cited increased confidence in their ability to raise capital.
