The median money manager firm had 25% of its U.S. workforce made up of minorities, based on 269 responses to Pensions & Investments’ annual money manager survey. The overall U.S. white population was about 58%, down from nearly 64% a decade ago, according to the 2020 U.S. Census.
Minorities underrepresented at money managers
Minorities were 17% of the senior management ranks, based on the median of 193 responses.
At the median, minorities held 20% of the investment roles. At the 75th percentile, it was 33%.
