GDP growth expected to slow in larger economies — Moody's

Looking at select countries, Moody's projects most economies will experience slower growth next year. It forecasts real U.S. gross domestic product growth of 2.1% this year and 0.8% in 2024. Projections show China's economic growth decelerating to 4% from 5%.

Moody's expects Germany's GDP will prove an exception, growing by 0.8% after contracting by 0.4% this year.

The ratings agency expects the sub-Saharan Africa and Asia-Pacific regions to lead the way with respective 4.5% and 4% economic growth for 2024. Moody's projects North America will grow by 0.8% in 2024, down from 1.7% in 2023.
