Federal Reserve largest holder of the U.S. on-the-run 10-year note

The Federal Reserve owns 24.8% of the on-the-run U.S. 10-year note. This is more than 10 times the largest known other holder, TCW Group. As noted in a recent Pensions & Investments graphic, the Federal Reserve has once again become a significant holder of Treasury securities.
