Among global investors, 62% said climate change was either a significant or central factor in their investment policy, according to Robeco’s recently released 2024 Global Climate Investing Survey.
Conducted in January, Robeco surveyed various investors such as insurance companies, pension funds, private banks, funds of funds, brokers-dealers, endowments and foundations, sovereign wealth funds, and family offices.
The trend differs among the world’s regions, however. In North America, the climate change factor fell to 35% vs. 74% in 2021. Among Asia-Pacific investors, 79% cited climate change as a significant or central factor, up from 57%.
