Michael Ryder was named partner and co-head of the North American business at Igneo Infrastructure Partners.
It is a newly created position, a spokesman said in an email. Mr. Ryder, who began on Sept. 1 and is based in New York, works alongside John Ma, also a partner and previously sole head of the North American business, in leading the manager's growth and expansion plans in the region.
Mr. Ryder was previously a senior adviser at Investcorp and head of its infrastructure business. He joined that firm in April, and spokeswoman Katherine Segura declined to comment.
Before joining Investcorp, Mr. Ryder was a senior managing director and head of Americas at OMERS Infrastructure Management, a unit of the C$119.5 billion ($91 billion) Ontario Municipal Employees' Retirement System, Toronto, until March 2021.
As of June 30, Igneo Infrastructure Partners had more than $15 billion in assets under management.
