Joseba Echave was named head of financing at Ardian Infrastructure, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new. Based in Luxembourg, Mr. Echave is responsible for negotiating and securing debt financing solutions for Ardian Infrastructure in Europe and in the Americas. Mr. Echave's start date was not available.
"Joseba is a fantastic addition to our team. His deep experience in American and European capital markets will further strengthen our investment and portfolio management practices. In an increasingly complex world, experiencing technological and macroeconomic disruptions, our focus is on supporting infrastructure investments and managing our portfolio in a way that ensures a sustainable future for what are often vital community assets," Mathias Burghardt, head of Ardian Infrastructure, said in a news release.
Ardian Infrastructure has $16 billion in assets under management.
Mr. Echave was project finance director at infrastructure development company Cintra, a subsidiary of Ferrovial Group.
