Edward Garden will step down as chief investment officer of hedge fund Trian Fund Management after 18 years with the firm, according to a Friday statement from a Trian spokesman.
Mr. Garden, a co-founder of Trian, will now "focus on managing his personal investments through his family office," but will continue as a senior adviser, the statement noted.
Josh Frank and Matt Peltz, partners at Trian, have been named co-CIOs, succeeding Mr. Garden, while Brian Baldwin has been named head of research.
Mr. Frank and Mr. Peltz were formerly co-heads of research, the spokesman confirmed.
Trian's co-founders Nelson Peltz and Peter May will continue as CEO and president, respectively, the statement added.
