Isaac Chang was named head of execution trading for global fixed income at Citadel, confirmed Megan Ingersoll, spokeswoman for the Chicago-based hedge fund, in an email.
The position is new. Effective September, Mr. Chang will oversee and build out the central execution team within Citadel's global fixed-income business. He will report to John Niccolai, chief operating officer for global fixed income.
Mr. Chang was head of trading at AQR Capital Management. A spokeswoman declined to comment, but sources familiar with the situation confirmed he has been replaced by Scott Carter, a principal at AQR.
Citadel has $33 billion in assets under management.
