Debanik Basu was named head of India research at proxy-voting advisory firm Institutional Shareholder Services, a news release said.
He will be based in Mumbai and lead proxy research efforts for ISS on publicly traded companies in India. He will report to Warren Chen, head of Asia (ex-Japan) research.
Mr. Basu was previously group head of research at a proxy advisory firm based in India, the news release said.
Subodh Mishra, executive director for ISS, could not be immediately reached to provide further information.
