Stephanie Schils has joined Lazard Asset Management as head of ETF sales strategy, a spokesperson confirmed.
It is a new position. Schils reports to Robert Forsyth, managing director and global head of ETFs, who joined the firm in September and has been building out Lazard’s ETF platform, the spokesperson said.
Schils will also serve as lead ETF strategist, the spokesperson added.
On her LinkedIn account, Schils wrote March 4: “I’ll be leveraging my experience across distribution, product, and capital markets ETF roles as I join forces with Rob Forsyth, global head of ETFs, and David Stack, head of ETF capital markets, to develop and grow Lazard’s active ETF platform.”
Schils had been working as a freelance product and client solutions adviser since April 2023, according to her LinkedIn account. Prior to that, she served in various ETF-related roles, including head of ETF product strategy at Neuberger Berman and ETF strategist at BlackRock.
The Lazard spokesperson further noted that in January, Lazard filed its initial registration statement with the SEC to launch five active ETFs later in 2025. The initial five are the Emerging Markets Opportunities ETF, Equity Megatrends ETF, International Dynamic Equity ETF, Japanese Equity ETF and Next Gen Technologies ETF.
Lazard had $226 billion in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
