All 56 of Vista Equity Partners' majority-owned portfolio companies have pledged to measure, set reduction targets and reduce greenhouse gases, said Brian Steel, Vista spokesman, in an email.
Vista has more than 80 portfolio companies, including minority-stake investments, Mr. Steel said.
Companies that have been part of Vista's portfolio before July 1, 2021, have agreed to measure 2020 and 2021 greenhouse gas emissions by July 1, set a greenhouse gas emissions target by Dec. 31, reduce greenhouse gas emissions annually and offset 2021 greenhouse emissions.
Portfolio companies that became part of Vista's portfolio after July 1, 2021, are expected to measure 2021 GHG emissions by this coming July 1, and will have another calendar year after that to set GHG reduction targets and offset annually.
Vista joined the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative in July 2021, and pledged to reduce firm emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieve net-zero across its portfolio by 2050.
Vista had about $93 billion in assets under management as of Dec. 31, 2021.
