Olivia Albrecht was named global head of ESG at TCW Group, confirmed Doug Morris, a company spokesman, in an email.
The position is new.
Effective Tuesday, Ms. Albrecht is in charge of leading the firm's environmental, social and governance investing efforts, including integrating ESG across TCW's investment platform and business strategy. She reports to David Lippman, president and CEO.
Ms. Albrecht was head of ESG business strategy at Pacific Investment Management Co. Her duties have been absorbed by the team, said PIMCO spokeswoman Agnes Crane.
TCW manages $266 billion in client assets.
