Talieh Williams was appointed head of ESG integration at Cbus Super, Melbourne, where she will advance the fund’s responsible investing strategy and priorities, a Cbus spokesperson confirmed on July 24.
The position is a key role and, as a senior responsible investment and ESG leader, Williams will help champion the fund’s responsible investment approach to support the fund’s long-term sustainable returns, Cbus wrote in a statement.
She joins the fund this week and reports to Head of Responsible Investment Ros McKay. Cbus had A$94 billion ($62.7 billion) in assets as of June 30.
Williams was most recently chief of staff to the chief investment officer and chief executive officer at Victorian Funds Management Corporation, Melbourne, which managed A$85.7 billion in assets as of Dec. 31. Spokespeople did not immediately respond to a query about her replacement.
She previously led ESG, investment stewardship and sustainable investment strategy at UniSuper, Melbourne, where she was employed for 11 years until 2019. UniSuper had A$124 billion in assets as of June 30.
Her role at Cbus is a replacement role, the spokesperson confirmed. The fund previously hired Justin Ginnivan as head of ESG integration in 2022. He is now listed on LinkedIn as director of corporate finance at the University of Melbourne.
