Donna Anderson, head of corporate governance at T. Rowe Price, is set to retire at the end of the year, a spokesperson confirmed.
Anderson leads the firm’s proxy voting and engagement efforts and is also a specialist for incorporating governance considerations into the firm’s investment research process, according to a biography on the firm’s website.
Reuters first reported the news.
“Donna Anderson has informed us of her decision to retire from her role as head of corporate governance at T. Rowe Price effective at the end of this year, and we have begun transitioning her work to a successor,” said Eric Veiel, head of global investments and CIO, in a written statement.
T. Rowe has not yet named a successor.
Anderson joined T. Rowe Price in 2007. During her career, Anderson dealt with a slew of issues effecting companies from environmental, social and governance policies to debates on executive compensation.
Veiel went on to say that Anderson had been “an unbelievably positive influence on our investment process” and that she is “an incredibly well-respected leader, not only in company board rooms and the asset management industry’s corporate governance circles, but also within the walls of T. Rowe Price.”
T. Rowe Price had $1.63 trillion in assets under management as of Feb. 28.
